Ambassador Woongsoon Lim attended the Banff Battle of Kapyong Victory Monument Unveiling Ceremony on July 21, 2024. The Battle of Kapyong is one of Canada’s greatest, yet least-known, military achievements. The monument commemorates the bravery of Canadians in the Korean War. This new monument in Banff will be Canada's sixth. The ceremony was attended by Korean War Kapyonh Battle veterans; Edwin (Ted) Adye and Kevin Billiser, and Ambassador Lim presented the Ambassador of Peace Medal to the family member of the late Charles Grier and the late Leif Bangsboll at the Veterans Appreciation Dinner.
