Attending the Unveiling Ceremony of Korean War Memorial Gapyeong Stone

ㅇ On January 22, Consul General Chung attended the unveiling ceremony of Korean War Memorial Gapyeong-seok(stone) at Derek Doubleday Arboretum in the Township of Langley. Consul General Chung expressed the appreciation for the Canadian soldiers who served and sacrified in the Battle of Kapyeong in the Korean War. Consul General Chung thanked to Gapyeong County and Township of Langley for the Gapyeong stone Korean War Memorial unveiled.

ㅇ Before attending the unveiling ceremony, Consul General Chung visited the Township of Langley City Hall and met with Mayor Jack Froese. Consul General Chung asked for continued attention to the growing Korean community in the region.
