Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

First, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Choi Jongmoon will attend the “16^th Jeju Forum for Peace & Prosperity” to be held on Jeju Island from June 24 to 26.

Vice Minister Choi will host a dinner for key participants in the forum and stress the importance of multilateral cooperation on COVID-19, environmental issues, and climate change.

On the same day, Vice Minister Choi will also deliver congratulatory remarks at the session on the “implementation of the outcomes of the Korea-U.S. Summit in the areas of science and technology.” In the remarks, he will explain the outcomes of the Korea-U.S. Summit and measures for their implementation focusing on science and technology diplomacy.

Next, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Choi Jongmoon will attend the G20 Foreign Affairs and Development Ministerial Meetings to be held in Matera and Brindisi, Italy, from June 29 to 30.

On June 29, Vice Minister Choi will attend the Foreign Ministers' meeting and the joint Foreign Affairs and Development Ministerial Session as well as the Development Ministerial Session, where he will discuss multilateralism, food security, and development finance. He will also attend the ministerial event on humanitarian assistance on June 30.
