Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Choi Jongmoon will attend in his capacity as Chief Delegate of Korea the July Ministerial, a ministerial meeting on response to climate change to take place in London from July 25 to 26.

The July Ministerial comes as the UK, which holds the presidency of the 26th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP26) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), has invited about 50 major countries to seek high-level agreement on key agenda issues in a bid to make a success of COP26 this November.

Vice Minister Choi will have bilateral meetings with his counterparts from major participating countries to discuss ways to step up bilateral cooperation on response to climate change.
