Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, July 28, Minister of Foreign Affairs Chung Eui-yong will deliver the keynote speech at a virtual seminar titled “2021 IFANS Conference on Global Affairs,” an international academic conference held annually by the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA).

At the conference to be held under the theme “Breaking the Nuclear Impasse: North Korean Nuclear Issue and Peace on the Korean Peninsula,” Foreign Minister Chung and world-renowned scholars will discuss a solution to the North Korean nuclear issue and the way forward for peace on the Korean Peninsula, as well as the policy on North Korea after 2021.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expects the upcoming conference streamed live online to help further increase the attention and understanding of people at home and abroad on the international environment surrounding the Korean Peninsula and successful ways to advance the peace process on the Korean Peninsula.
