Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Choi Jongmoon will deliver welcoming remarks at the seminar on “Korea’s global leadership on response to climate change” to take place in Seoul on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 28.

At the seminar to be co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Environment and the National Assembly Water Forum, officials of relevant government agencies, public organizations and policy research institutes of Korea will extensively discuss ways to strengthen Korea’s role in responding to climate change.

In his welcoming remarks, Vice Minister Choi will share the efforts of the Korean government to take an active part in global cooperation on response to climate change, and underscore the need for Korea to continue efforts to become a leading country in the areas of climate and environment.
