Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Choi Jongmoon will sign a “memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and LINE Plus Corporation to protect overseas Korean nationals” on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 26.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expects that, pursuant to the MOU, the consultation messaging service of the Ministry’s Consular Call Center will also be available through the “LINE Messenger” platform, allowing Korean nationals to receive consultation services from the Consular Call Center in a more convenient and speedier manner.

Going forward, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue efforts to enhance the accessibility to and the effectiveness of the services designed to protect overseas Korean nationals.
