Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Republic of the Philippines

On 27 December 2023 (Wednesday), the Republic of Korea Navy Ships (1) Hansando and (2) Hwacheon arrived in Manila, as part of their 2023 Cruise Training through sailing far into the ocean beyond the Korean Peninsula.

The 2023 Cruise Training Task Group is an annual activity that aims to give an opportunity to the young and future naval officers of the Republic of Korea to train through ocean voyage and acquire professional military knowledge, and cultivate international military diplomacy.

As part of their official visit, the crew and staff of the Ships conducted a Reception Onboard on 28 December 2023 (Thursday) to share their culture and welcome people aboard, attended by the defense sectors and several Veterans of the PEFTOK and their descendants.

The said activity upholds public diplomacy on the growing friendship and camaraderie between the Korea and Philippines, likewise honouring the gallantry of the Veterans who bravely fought during the Korean War.
