On 31 January, Ambassador Lee Sang-hwa delivered a congratulatory message at the first ‘Sustainable Tourism Development Forum’ hosted by the ASEAN-Korea Centre and the Department of Tourism at the Princesa Garden Island Resort and Spa in Palawan.

Under the theme of “Exploring Innovative Tourism Marketing Strategies," Ambassador Lee, together with culture and tourism experts, shed light on the increasing demand for digital marketing and its significant implications for sustainable tourism.

In 2023, the Republic of Korea ranked as the first among countries with most travelers visiting the Philippines, with 1,439,336 visitors, or 26.41% of the total foreign visitors.
