All international travellers must have an appropriate visa or entry permit (K-ETA).

What is K-ETA (Korean Electronic Travel Authorisation)

  • K-ETA is an electronic travel authorisation that visa-free foreign visitors need to obtain before entering the Republic of Korea. Purpose of travel should be tourism, visiting a family member, participating in events or meetings, or commercial business (visits where profit is derived are excluded).

New Zealand Passport Holders

  • New Zealand passport holders are exempt from applying for the K-ETA in 2025.
  • However, it is highly recommended to bring a return ticket, accommodation details and sufficient travel funds.

Other Nationalities
