Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Los Angeles

Consul General Youngwan Kim held the 24th Overseas Korean Literature Award ceremony at the conference room on the 5th floor of the Korean Consulate General in LA on December 14th, 2022. The 24th Overseas Korean Literature Award contest was held for about two months from April 22 to June 20, and a total of 802 works were submitted from 43 countries, and 40 of them were selected through evaluation. In the Los Angeles Consulate General, Sung-hwan Cho won the Excellence Award in General Prose for his work, “LA Riot and Dandelion”, and Deok-hwan Yoon won the honorable mention for “Marriage Ring Story”. Mr.Cho was awarded a plaque and prize money(KRW 2.5 million), and Mr.Yoon was awarded a plaque and prize money(KRW 1 million).
