Korean Ambassador to Japan Cho Se-hyung and Japanese Minister for Foreign Affairs Kawaguchi Yoriko 
exchanged instruments of ratification in the name of two heads of state for the Extradition Treaty between 
the Republic of Korea and Japan on June 6, 2002.  The ROK-Japan Extradition Treaty will come into effect on 
June 21, 2002.
