1. Korea and Japan finalized the agreement to begin operation of air service between Kimpo Airport in Korea
and Haneda Airport in Japan.  The service will begin on November 30, 2003, with 4 flights daily.  Korean

service one flight each per day.

2. With 4 flights on a daily basis, annual estimation for travelers between Kimpo and Haneda Airports
approximate 400,000-500,000. (300 travelers per flight X 4 daily flights X 365 days in a year.)

3. The agreement is expected to not only increase the convenience of travelers, but also contribute to
promoting business activities between the two countries, and increasing human and material exchanges.

4. Also, this agreement, as an early fulfillment of the agreement of Prime Minister Koizumi and President Roh
Moo-hyun, which took place during the June 2003 Presidential Visit, contributed to aiding the basis of
establishing a daily commuting area.  Furthermore, the agreement is seen as a cornerstone for preparing to
strengthen future cooperation between Korea and Japan.
