1. The government of the Republic of Korea decided to provide emergency humanitarian assistance
of USD 200,000 for Cambodia, which has been suffering severe damage from the recent flood in
Southeast Asia.
※ As of Oct. 13, the flood has left 207 people dead and 1.2 million (8% of the total population)
homeless in 17 out of the total 23 provinces in Cambodia.
o As many Southeast Asian countries have suffered flood damage since Aug., the Korean
government has provided USD 100,000 and 200,000 in emergency humanitarian assistance
for Laos and Thailand, which have been hit by typhoon and flood respectively.

2. The Korean government plans to keep a close tab on the flood situation in Southeast Asia and
actively respond in case of further damage.
