ROK to Provide Flood-stricken Indonesia with US$200,000 in Humanitarian Assistance

1. The government of the Republic of Korea has decided to provide humanitarian assistance worth 200,000 US dollars to Indonesia that recently sustained enormous damage from heavy rains in Jakarta.

* The recent heavy rains, which started on January 15, left 15 people dead and 18,000 displaced, affecting some 250,000 people in total as of January 21.

2. Details of assistance methods and supplies will be decided after consultations with the Indonesian government.
