1. The Government of the Republic of Korea would like to offer its congratulations on Hojjatoleslam Doctor Hassan Rouhani's election as President of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the 11th presidential election held on 14th June 2013, with wide support from the people of Iran.

2. It is the hope of the ROK Government that the new Iranian government, answering the aspirations of the Iranian people, shall lead Iran towards the path of change and prosperity.

3. In particular, the ROK Government wishes that Iran shall establish constructive relations with the international community through a process of trust-building, and it looks forward to the further deepening of the ties of friendship between Korea and Iran.
