1. On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the alliance between the Republic of Korea and the United States, the ROK Foreign Ministry will hold an outdoor exhibition of diplomatic photographs near the Sejongno Park in Gwanghwamun, Seoul, from October 1 through15 to mark this occasion.

° The exhibition titled “Sixty Years of Alliance: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow of the ROK-US Relations” will feature some 80 photographic records related to key diplomatic matters between the ROK and the US over the past six decades since the conclusion of the ROK-US Mutual Defense Agreement in 1953 till the bilateral summit in May 2013.

2. The event is expected to serve as an opportunity to look in retrospect at the path taken by the ROK and the US in the past 60 years as partners toward stability and shared prosperity and to envision the next 60 years of the alliance between the two countries.

3. The opening ceremony of the exhibition will take place at Hyatt Hotel, Seoul, at 6:00 p.m. on September 30 as an event before the celebration of the ROK-US Alliance Day.
