1. Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs Hwang Joon-kook will visit Moscow, Russia, on June 16-18 and meet with Russian officials, including Deputy Foreign Minister Morgulov in charge of Asia-Pacific affairs (Russia’s chief negotiator for the Six-party Talks).

2. The upcoming visit to Russia is the first by Special Representative Hwang since he took up the post. The two sides will hold extensive discussions on the North Korean nuclear issue and the overall situation on the Korean Peninsula.
