1. The first Policy Consultation between the Republic of Korea and Burkina Faso will take place in Seoul on June 18, with Director-General for African and Middle Eastern Affairs Kwon Hee-seog of the ROK Foreign Ministry and Director-General of Bilateral Relations Pascal Batjobo of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Cooperation of Burkina Faso leading their respective delegations.

° The delegation from Burkina Faso will include officials from ten-odd government agencies related to foreign affairs, finance, agriculture, transportation, industry, the development of water resources and minerals, as well as the Prime Minister’s Office.

2. The two sides will exchange views on regional situations and matters of mutual concern, including ways to work together in trade, resources, development and culture as well as on the international stage.

° During its visit to the ROK, the delegation from Burkina Faso will visit the Export-Import Bank of Korea, the Korea International Cooperation Agency and leading companies.

3. The first round of the ROK-Burkina Faso Policy Consultation, the high-level consultative mechanism between the governments of the two countries to convene on a regular basis, is expected to serve as an opportunity to bolster the foundation for the promotion of the bilateral friendship and cooperation and to expand the scope of their substantive cooperation to include a wider range of sectors.
