1. At the 7th Annual Meeting of the Council of the ASEAN-Korea Centre on February 5, former ROK Ambassador to Indonesia Kim Young-sun was appointed as the third Secretary-General of the Centre after the first Secretary-General Cho Young-jai and the second Secretary-General Chung Hae-moon.

2. The Secretary-General of the Centre is appointed after a candidate recommended by the ROK government is approved by 10 ASEAN member countries. The new Secretary-General Kim Young-sun will begin his three-year term on March 13, 2015.
