1. The 16th Republic of Korea-Japan Consultation on Development Cooperation Policy will take place in Tokyo, Japan, on February 16, with the Foreign Ministry’s Director-General for Development Cooperation Oh Young-ju and her Japanese counterpart Kimihiro Ishikane leading their respective delegations.
2. In the first policy consultation since the one held in 2012, the two sides will focus on the post-2015 development goals; the Global Partnership for Effective Development Cooperation, also known as the Busan Global Partnership; the G20 development agenda; ways to reduce disaster risks; ways to promote gender equality and women’s rights; and agricultural and rural development and other issues concerning international development cooperation.
