1. Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs Kim Hong-kyun, together with Special Representative for North Korea Policy Sung Kim of the US Department of State, will hold a Republic of Korea-United States meeting of the head delegates to the Six-Party Talks in Honolulu, the US, on July 15.

° In the forthcoming meeting, the two sides will discuss in detail and in depth the full range of North Korean issues, including its nuclear program, as well as those discussed at the recent vice foreign ministerial meeting among the ROK, the US and Japan.

° In particular, the meeting is expected to focus on ways to respond to North Korea’s provocations, to toughen sanctions and intensify pressure on North Korea, and to coordinate with relevant countries.
