1. One of the Foreign Ministry’s “people as public diplomats” projects for 2016 was conducted in Myanmar from July 17 to 22, led by the “Sinabro” team.

2. The “Sinabro” team’s public diplomacy project included providing information on the production environment of Korean films and soap operas as well as teaching video production techniques and ways to use relevant devices to some 100 students at Practicing School, a prestigious educational institution in Yangon, Myanmar.

° The young Koreans and Myanmarese, by co-producing video clips on their cultures and traditions, learned more about and came to take interest in them. They also agreed to continue exchanges through videos, which opened up the possibility of public diplomacy between young Koreans and Myanmarese.

3. Starting with the “Sinabro” team’s Myanmar project, the Foreign Ministry will conduct a variety of original public diplomacy projects for foreigners at home and abroad until the end of the year under the slogan of “people as public diplomats.”
