1. The Foreign Ministry, in a bid to seek diverse opinions from the public regarding ways to advance the ROK-Japan-China trilateral cooperation, held its second ideas competition on the trilateral cooperation from May 16 till June 30.

2. The competition drew keen interest from the public, as demonstrated by 436 entries, many of which were about substantive cooperation projects that can draw wide participation of and offer benefits to peoples of the ROK, Japan and China.

3. The Foreign Ministry formed a judging committee, which, after a review of the entries in term of originality, effectiveness, feasibility and durability, selected 25 winning ideas.

4. It is the view of the Foreign Ministry that the ideas competition has served as an opportunity to draw the public attention to and enhance their understanding on the trilateral cooperation. It will scrutinize the ideas submitted to the competition and use them in mapping out ways to advance the trilateral cooperation.
