2. At the briefing session, the Foreign Ministry will provide information necessary to settle in Australia, including safety information, employment, and accommodation. The Australian Embassy will explain how to apply for a working holiday visa, the taxation and refund system for working holiday makers, and Australia’s Fair Work Ombudsman system. Those who participated in the working holiday program in Australia will also have the opportunity to share their experiences.

3. The Foreign Ministry, in cooperation with diplomatic missions in the ROK, will continue to provide support in various ways to assist the Korean youth willing to participate in the working holiday program in making preparations in advance and settling in foreign countries.

o The Foreign Ministry is helping working holiday makers prepare in advance by holding briefing sessions on each country’s working holiday program (“working holiday talk talk”), running an information center, and distributing guidebooks on Australia’s working holiday program. The Ministry is also carrying out a range of programs to help working holiday makers settle in foreign countries, including holding a meeting with working holiday makers; and (for working holiday makers in Australia) offering working holiday counseling services, running the hello working holiday center and providing legal counseling services.
