1. The “first dialogue on Japan policy” will take place at the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) on September 12, co-hosted by the Center for Japanese Studies at the KNDA Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS), and the Institute of Japanese Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS).

° The event will bring together professor and former Ambassador to China Shin Jung-seung and other experts as well as members of the KNDA faculty from the Republic of Korea; and Director Gao Hong of the CASS Institute of Japanese Studies and other Japan experts from China.

2. The policy dialogue between the two organizations has been arranged for the Japan researchers from the ROK and China to discuss various Japan-related topics, and thereby to identify the similarities and differences of the two countries in terms of their views on Japan, and to seek ways to enhance their bilateral relations with Japan and promote cooperation among the three countries. The meeting will extensively cover the situation in Japan and its relations with other countries.

※ The KNDA Center for Japanese Studies and the CASS Institute of Japanese Studies will hold this closed-door dialogue on Japan policy in their two countries on an annual and rotational basis.
