1. The 10th Korea-Arab Friendship Caravan, hosted by the Korea-Arab Society (KAS) and sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Korea Foundation, will take place on October 21 and 24 in Morocco and Jordan, which mark the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations with the ROK this year.

2. Main events of the Caravan will feature traditional dance and b-boy performances, which will promote the ROK’s both traditional and modern cultures in Arab countries, and help Middle Eastern people and Arabs better understand and pay more attention to the ROK.

- In addition, the cultural event is expected to facilitate cultural exchanges between the ROK and the Arab world, and thus help spread Hallyu in the Middle East and increase cultural exchanges between younger generations. It is expected to help enhance mutual understanding between the two sides, thereby laying the foundation for expanding global networks.

3. The Foreign Ministry and the Korea-Arab Society will work to expand and develop the ROK-Arab relations, currently focused on economic cooperation, into cooperative relations covering a range of areas, including political, cultural and academic ones. The Ministry and the KAS will also continue to actively carry out public diplomacy activities, such as Caravan, to help the people of the two sides increase exchanges and better understand each other’s cultures.
