1. Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs Lee Do-hoon, together with Assistant Foreign Minister and Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Affairs Kong Xuanyou of China, will hold a Republic of Korea-China meeting of the head delegates to the Six-Party Talks in Beijing on October 31.

° The ROK-China meeting, which will come in the wake of the recent bilateral and trilateral meetings in Seoul among the ROK, US and Japanese head delegates to the Six-Party Talks, will mark the first between the ROK and Chinese top delegates since their taking up the current posts.

2. In the forthcoming meeting, the two sides will share with each other assessments of the current situation regarding the North Korean nuclear and missile programs, and discuss in depth ways to work together in keeping the situation stable and seeking a peaceful and diplomatic solution to the North Korean nuclear issue.
