1. The Center for Chinese Studies at the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS) of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) will host at the KNDA on November 17 the international academic conference 2017 on “China’s path in the wake of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC).”

2. At the conference, the participants will analyze main decisions made at the 19th National Congress of the CPC and their implications; from a broad perspective, look into the policy direction of the second-term Xi Jinping government over the next five years; and based on these analyses, present an outlook on China’s domestic politics and foreign relations.

3. The event will bring together China experts from home and abroad, including professor emeritus Yoon Young-kwan of Seoul National University (keynote speech), professor Dali Yang of the University of Chicago, professor Minxin Pei of Claremont McKenna College, professor Hu Weixing of the University of Hong Kong, Vice President Sun Jisheng of China Foreign Affairs University, research fellow Xue Chen of the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies, professor Chung Jae-ho of Seoul National University and professor Kim Jae-chul of Catholic University.
