° During his visit to the IAEA, the Director-General will share with IAEA officials an assessment of the outcome of the inter-Korean summit talks and other recent progress in the situation on the Korean Peninsula; and discuss with them the role that the IAEA can play in the course toward a complete denuclearization of North Korea.

2. In the wake of his trip to the IAEA, Director-General Jeong will visit the UK, a permanent member of the UN Security Council and the Republic of Korea’s long-standing friend, on May 16 and 17 for an exchange of views on ways to work together in implementing the Panmunjeom Declaration and to seek the denuclearization of North Korea in the wake of the forthcoming US-North Korea summit talks.
