2. In the upcoming strategic dialogue, the two Ministers will extensively discuss bilateral, regional and global issues.

° In particular, Minister Kang will share with her German counterpart the ROK government’s efforts to achieve a complete denuclearization and a lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula on the back of the outcome of the inter-Korean and US-North Korea summit talks; and ask for support and cooperation of the German government.

The main agenda topics of the strategic dialogue will include bilateral relations and economic cooperation; the situations on the Korean Peninsula and in Northeast Asia; multilateral and global issues; and the situation in Europe.

3. The ROK-Germany foreign ministerial strategic dialogue, which will mark the first bilateral meeting between the top diplomats of the two countries since their inaugurations, is expected to serve as an opportunity to review the progress in the ROK-Germany relations and to step up strategic communication and cooperation on the regional and global levels.
