1. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with Korean Broadcasting System (KBS), will hold the final round of this year's “Quiz on Korea,” a global quiz show on the Republic of Korea, at KBS, Seoul, at 17:00-19:00, September 8.

2. The “Quiz on Korea” show is one of the cultural public diplomacy projects conducted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Its preliminary round is held at the ROK’s overseas diplomatic missions, and the winner from each participating country is invited to the ROK to compete in the final round.

° The preliminary round of the “Quiz on Korea 2018” took place at the ROK’s overseas diplomatic missions from April to August. In conjunction with the preliminary contests, various side events -- Hansik (Korean food) tasting and Hanbok (traditional Korean garment) try-on events, K-pop performances and PR activities of Korean companies -- were held as opportunities to promote Korean culture and enterprises.

3. The 21 finalists will stay in the ROK from September 2 to 9. While in the ROK, they will experience traditional Korean culture, life in a fishing village, and new, state-of-the-art information technology (IT) in Seoul and Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do, and will compete vigorously in the final round of the “Quiz on Korea 2018” at KBS, Seoul, on September 8.

4. All of the nationals of the Republic of Korea and Hallyu (Korean Wave) fans across the world are eligible to apply to come and watch the final round in person.
