Eleven Ambassadors to the ROK Present Credentials to President Park Geun-hye

1. On April 18, eleven new Ambassadors to the Republic of Korea presented their credentials to President Park Geun-hye at Cheong Wa Dae. It marked the first time that President received credentials since taking office.

2. The eleven Ambassadors are Ambassadors Baasanjav Ganbold from Mongolia; Mamadou Ndiaye from Senegal; Jad Saeed El-Hassen from Lebanon; Ahmed Khaleel from the Maldives; Akillino Harris Susaia from Micronesia; Francois Oubida from Burkina Faso; Mahamane El Hadji Bania Toure from Mali; Gulomjon Jura Bobozoda from Tajikistan; Kejjo Bien from the Marshall Islands; Ioanna Malliotis from Cyprus; and Jacob Dickie Nkate from Botswana.

3. Having presented their credentials, the above Ambassadors – three resident and eight non-resident -- will formally embark on their mission in the ROK as representatives of their governments.

4. A number of non-resident Ambassadors, who do not have many opportunities to visit the ROK, attended the credentials ceremony. Being formally accredited, they are expected to further contribute to the relations between the ROK and their home countries.
