1. Communist Party Chief Peng Qinghua of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China will visit the Republic of Korea from April 4 through 8 at the invitation of the Foreign Ministry.

2. During his visit to the ROK, Communist Party Chief Peng of Guangxi will make a courtesy call on the National Assembly Speaker; hold meetings with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy; hold promotional events on investment in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the 12th China-ASEAN Expo; and visit Chungcheongbuk-do (North Chungcheong Province), the sister province of Guangxi.

3. With the ROK set to attend as a special guest country the 12th China-ASEAN Expo to take place in Guangxi’s capital of Nanning in September 2015, the visit of Guangxi’s Communist Party Chief Peng is expected to greatly help boost exchanges and cooperation between the ROK and the province.

4. The ROK Foreign Ministry has been inviting to the country two to three leaders of China’s major provincial governments on an annual basis since 2005. Communist Party Chief Peng’s visit to the ROK will come as part of this invitation program.
