1. On December 9, First Vice Foreign Minister Lim Sung-nam met with Secretary-General Nasser Bourita of the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who is on a visit to the Republic of Korea. In their meeting, the two sides exchanged views on ways to boost substantive bilateral cooperation across the board, including high-level exchanges and economy, as well as cooperation on the international stage.

2. The two sides noted with appreciation the steadfast advances in the traditional friendship and cooperation between the ROK and Morocco since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1962. They agreed to further increase cooperation in various areas, including economy, and expand bilateral consultative mechanisms and high-level exchanges.

3. Furthermore, the two sides agreed to continue their close cooperation on the international stage.

4. The meeting with Moroccan Secretary-General Bourita is seen to have served as an opportunity to reaffirm the solid friendly and cooperative ties between the ROK and Morocco, discuss ways to promote cooperation and thereby build momentum for increased substantive cooperation.
