KNDA Holds a Ceremony to Mark the Completion of the 2015-2016 Formal Curriculum for Diplomatic Candidates

1. The Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA) held a ceremony on November 25 to mark the completion of the 2015-2016 formal curriculum for diplomatic candidates.

2. The 37 diplomatic candidates, after joining the program on December 15, 2015, worked to build basic diplomatic capacity over the past year.

3. The program focused on public ethics, Korean history and commitment of public officials; international law, diplomatic history and expert knowledge in other relevant areas; diplomatic capacity and skills, including those for negotiations and writing documents; and English and second foreign language courses. The classes were offered by top-class instructors from home and abroad.

4. Going forward, the KNDA will continue efforts to foster elite diplomats who can handle issues in the diversified world and lead the world on the diplomatic front.
