ROK to Send a Delegation to Latin America to Seek Cooperation on Airport Infrastructure

1. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the support of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, will send a delegation to Latin America to seek cooperation on airport infrastructure. The delegation will visit El Salvador and Costa Rica from November 28 to December 5.

2. The delegation will meet with ranking government officials in El Salvador and Costa Rica to discuss ways to step up bilateral cooperation on airport infrastructure, including supporting bids of Korean companies to build presence in the field in the countries. Also scheduled are business meetings between companies of the ROK and the countries.

3. The delegation will inform Latin America of its capacity for the construction and operation of airports and thereby play a role in efforts to pave the way for Korean enterprises’ participation in airport infrastructure projects in Latin America.

° Going forward, the ROK government, through cooperation among its relevant agencies and other organizations, will send private-public delegations to Latin America to support bids of Korean companies to build presence in promising sectors in the region.
