1. The Foreign Ministry held the launching ceremony of the tenth group of “Friends of MOFA” at the Ministry on March 3, bringing together some 60 people.

° The launching ceremony was held in the presence of the ninth group to mark the completion of their activities as well.

2. At the ceremony, the Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson Cho June-hyuck delivered remarks, in which he asked the ninth group to “always keep in mind their experiences in diplomatic activities and remain attentive to diplomatic advances of the Republic of Korea”; and the tenth group to “obtain valuable experiences of joining the Foreign Ministry’s efforts to develop the nation and promote national interests.”

3. After delivering the remarks, the Spokesperson presented certificates of completion to the ninth group of supporters and letters of appointment to the tenth group.

4. The tenth group of “Friends of MOFA” will mainly work on widely promoting the Foreign Ministry’s policies and activities on- and off-line until August 2017.

5. Going forward, the Foreign Ministry will continue to render assistance to the young Koreans in their efforts to vivid relaying the Foreign Ministry’s policies to the public, acquire diverse knowledge and experiences and thereby become “civilian diplomats.”
