Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Chang Ho-jin, together with Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Okano Masataka, held the 14th Korea-Japan Vice-Ministerial Strategic Dialogue on the morning of October 5. 

Previously, during President Yoon Suk Yeol’s visit to Japan in March, the leaders of the two countries agreed to invigorate intergovernmental consultative channels. 

During the Strategic Dialogue, which was resumed in nine years pursuant to the agreement between their leaders, the two sides covered in depth an extensive range of areas, including bilateral relations as well as regional and global issues.

Later this afternoon, Minister of Foreign Affairs Park Jin will meet with Vice-Minister Okano.
