Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

On December 20, Minister of Foreign Affairs Park Jin will meet with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Benin Olushegun Adjadi Bakari, who is on a visit to Korea.

In the upcoming meeting, Foreign Minister Park and his Beninese counterpart will discuss various issues, including ways to expand bilateral trade and investment and strengthen development cooperation. Foreign Minister Park will also ask for President Talon’s participation in the 2024 Korea-Africa Summit.

Benin is one of the African countries that first established diplomatic relations with Korea in 1961. Since the establishment of diplomatic ties, the two countries have continuously developed friendly and cooperative relations.
