Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang Insun will hold the 7th meeting of Committee on Grant Strategy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on February 7.

The Committee is the highest-level platform that examines and coordinates grant aid strategies, policies and projects. It will be attended by representatives from government ministries that implement grants as well as Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and Export-Import Bank of Korea.

At the upcoming meeting, participants will adopt 2024 Implementation Plan for Grant Aid and Implementation Management Plan for Grant Aid.

This is expected to strengthen efficiency and effectiveness of Korea’s grant aid worth 3.5 trillion won, which increased by about 40 percent from last year, thereby contributing to achieving Korea’s vision for a Global Pivotal State.
