Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.
I will first share with you the Korean government’s position on the assassination of the Haitian President in an armed attack yesterday, July 7.
With regard to the passing of Haitian President Moïse in an armed attack yesterday, July 7, Haiti time, the Korean government extends deep condolences to his bereaved family and the people of Haiti.
The Korean government hopes that the people of Haiti will unite to recover from the shocking passing of President Moïse as soon as possible and restore political and social stability.
The Korean government will continue to work with the Haitian government and the international community for stability of Haiti.
