Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

On May 15, Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Tae-yul will have a meeting and luncheon with Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Juraj Blanár, who is on an official visit to Korea.

The two Foreign Ministers will discuss ways to promote economic cooperation including in trade and investment, as well as substantive cooperation in such areas as defense industries and nuclear power plants.

The two Foreign Ministers will also seek ways to work together on the international stage including the United Nations and will exchange views on key regional and global affairs such as the situation on the Korean Peninsula and the war in Ukraine.
